About the Gardens
Currently under development in downtown Fort Collins, Colorado, these 2 acres of land were acquired with the intention to steward, conserve, protect, and restore natural habitats to provide space for people to connect to nature, helping them to remember the healing benefits of the earth as “medicine.”
It is the goal of Sagrada Botanical Gardens to form a trust so we can protect the future and leave a legacy built on the practices of regenerative land management that emphasizes bioregionalism.
The gardens are being built to explore the remarkable interdependence between native and medicinal plants of various regions.
The vision is to inspire communities to live a healthy lifestyle of regeneration and sovereignty that is all-inclusive, bridging the gaps between ages, cultures, and traditions by providing experiences through edible and medicinal gardens, permaculture designs, beekeeping, and eco-living designs.

Cheri

It started with a feeling. When Cheri bought her home on West Mulberry Street in 2012—property that would one day become part of Sagrada Botanical Gardens—she didn’t have a plan, only a quiet sense that it was part of something bigger. In 2015, she tried to purchase the full property a few doors down at 2035 West Mulberry, but the timing wasn’t right. When 2035 came up for sale in 2022, she knew it was meant to be—and moved quickly to make it part of the growing vision.
In 2019, Cheri met Heather and heard her “seed to soul” vision for a community rooted in connection—to land, to spirit, and to each other. That moment brought clarity. Their shared longing to build a space where people could grow together, support one another, and live in alignment with nature became a joint mission. And now, with the two adjoining properties, they had the space to make it a reality.
Cheri has always had a heart for supporting others. She’s opened her home to friends and associates during transitional times and has volunteered extensively across a range of causes. Her service includes:
-
Trained volunteer with CERT (Community Emergency Response Team)
-
Certified crisis responder through the National Organization for Victim Assistance (NOVA)
-
On-the-ground relief work with the Salvation Army in New Orleans’ 9th Ward
-
Habitat for Humanity volunteer in Macedonia for an apartment build
-
Ongoing volunteer work with animal rescue organizations
-
Co-founder of a decade-long annual fundraising event for Lupus research
A lifelong entrepreneur with decades of experience in business and behavioral coaching, Cheri now channels her gifts into helping bring SBG to life. Her heart for community and belief in collective impact help shape this land into more than just a garden—it’s a sanctuary in the making.
